Welcome to the course!
Asbestos awareness course is intended to give workers and supervisors the information they need to avoid work that may disturb asbestos during any normal work which could disturb the fabric of a building, or other item which might contain asbestos. It will not prepare workers, or self-employed contractors, to carry out work with asbestos-containing materials. If a worker is planning to carry out work that will disturb ACMs, further information, instruction and training will be needed.
The course is made up of LESSONS, with some lesson including several TOPICS.
At the end of each topic, there is a ‘mark complete’ button. When you click this, a tick will show against that topic, indicating that it’s been completed. You will then be able to progress on to the next topic.
Once all the topics and lessons have been completed, you will be able to take the end of course quiz.
When you have successfully completed the quiz, there will now be a button available for you to print your certificate.
Some sections of the course contains public sector information published by the Health and Safety Executive and licensed under the Open Government Licence.
