At the end of the course there are the assessments:
COSHH Assessment- learners are required to carry out a COSHH assessment on one of the chemicals used at their pool.
Pool Plant Schematic – learners are to sketch out their pool plant system.
End of course exam – 20 multiple choice questions online. Learners will have 30 min complete and need to score 15/20 to pass.
Backwash – learners will need to send us evidence of them carrying out the backwash. This can be done either by the centre management signing an evidence sheet to say the learner is competent or a video file sent to us with the learner completing the task.
Water testing – learners will need to send us evidence of them carrying out water testing. This can be done either by the centre management signing an evidence sheet to say the learner is competent or a video file sent to us with the learner completing the task.AstridParticipantHi there,
If you look at the schematic on the course, lesson 3 – overview of the circulation system. Click on the i symbols to see in what the components are, they are in the correct order on the schematic. Work from left to right.

AstridParticipantHi Dani,
I just noticed the calculator was giving 2 different answers for the same temperature. I have changed the answer options to allow your answer.
Sorry about the confusion.
Kind regards,
Astrid
AstridParticipantHi,
Yes, there is, you can find it under the Pollution Lesson. Just above the lesson content.
AstridParticipantHi Darrin,
Thank you for your call. I hope we managed to sort the issue.
Kind regards,
Astrid
AstridParticipantHi Kate,
Under Lesson 08, Chlorine and pH Test Instructions (photometer and comparator), if you scroll past the photometer video, click on “Click here for step-by-step instructions” and then “Free and Total Chlorine”. The steps are written out there using the terms crush, stir etc.
The steps are worded that way as you will only need to form a paste for a specific step etc.
Kind regards,
Astrid
AstridParticipantHI,
We aim to mark them within a few days. Marking videos might take a little longer.
Kind regards,
Astrid
AstridParticipantHi Kirby,
Thank you for your message.
There is no deadline on the course. You can send us the practical elements when your pool is open again.
Thanks for letting us know.
Kind regards,
Astrid
AstridParticipantHi George,
Submitting photos will fine.
The photos will need to be in a correct sequence and have a detailed description, detailing what and how you are doing at each step.
Doing a video at a different pool to your usual pool would also be accepted.
Kind regards,
Astrid
